Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week is a national campaign held each year the week before Thanksgiving. This is a time for us all to start to reflect on what we are thankful for. It is also a perfect time to share our compassion with our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, and work toward a world where no one has to experience Hunger and Homelessness.
This year the dates are November 12-20, 2016.
We will have a Candlelight Vigil on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. We will be serving meals outdoors at the location of our future shelter building instead of at the shelter that night.
Location: The field next to Don Griffin Memorial Park at the corner of Skyway Drive and Meadow Street.
