Building our new facility – and a better community – is not something we can do by ourselves. We need your help. We’re seeking the financial support of Union County residents as well as grants from area businesses and foundations.
Contributions of all amounts are greatly appreciated. The Shelter has a variety of options for one-time donations or pledges paid over three years.
Because we believe every contribution is important, all donations will be recognized on our website. In addition, the new building will feature several areas of donor recognition. Donors of $500 to $999 will be recognized with an etched brick. Donors of $1,000 to $4,999 will be honored with a larger engraved paving brick.
Donations of $5,000 to $24,999 will be recognized on our recognition wall in the community dining room. Contributions of $25,000 and higher will be recognized prominently on a wall near the building entrance.
Making a contribution to the Union County Community Shelter’s building campaign might seem difficult or almost impossible in these financial times.
But thinking about a three-year pledge in bite-size terms makes it much easier to digest.
For example, a $500 pledge over three years is similar to the cost of one cafe coffee a week.
Foregoing one cup of coffee a week would pay for your pledge! A $1,000 pledge equates to one lunch out each week over three years.
Gifts of $15,000 or more are eligible for room naming opportunities (as available). Please contact us to reserve your desired named location.
Each named area or room will be designated with the donor’s name on a plaque at the room entrance, such as “ABC Kitchen.”
