It’s Super Bowl time! And that means it’s also Souper Bowl of Caring Time.
The Community Shelter of Union County is gearing up for the Super Bowl by participating in the national Souper Bowl of Caring, a movement that encourages residents to support our community neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness.
The local campaign, sponsored again by Birdseye Renewable Energy, benefits Community Shelter programs that provide emergency shelter, food and rehousing to Union County residents. Can you help support the hungry and homeless in Union County?
Every year, individual schools in the UCPS system plus churches, businesses, individuals and neighborhoods host fundraising drives for our Souper Bowl of Caring, typically raising more than $45,000 to feed the hungry and house the homeless in Union County.
Last year, as COVID hit, in-person classes and meetings turned virtual and everyone’s life turned upside down, we still raised $35,256. That is awesome!
We’ve added an online donation platform to help you quickly build fundraising teams for your organization. You can see the campaign build among groups and share your creativity.
The campaign runs through March 15.
