Individual and Family Volunteering

Process for New Individual and Family Volunteers

  1. Read the Volunteer Guidelines.
  2. Check out the Volunteer Job Descriptions to see what opportunities work for your skills and availability.
  3. Fill out a registration and once you submit it, you will be taken to a link for booking an orientation date. All adults and children volunteering solo (16 and 17 years old) will need to attend orientation. Children 10-15 years old are not required to attend orientation. Everyone is required to bring a completed Release Form and a valid ID that is not expired and shows your name and birth date to orientation. Orientation is 1 hour long and  we will tour the shelter.
  4. After you have completed orientation you can start scheduling volunteer shifts.

Group Volunteering

Take a look at the below opportunities, fill out a Group Volunteer Registration, a staff member will email you to discuss options. Groups do NOT need to attend orientation.
