Meal Groups-August 30, 2022 Changes
Effective August 30, 2022, the following changes are in effect for groups providing a meal at the shelter:
- The previous maximum size of groups of 6 total is no longer in effect.
- Masking is no longer required. Volunteers who are experiencing symptoms of respiratory illness (i.e., common cold/flu/etc.) are asked to stay home and will be required to mask if they choose to volunteer while actively displaying symptoms.
- Volunteers can join clients in the dining room.
Changes from July 1, 2022 that are still in effect and will remain so for the future.
- We have transitioned back to reusable trays/plates, cups, and utensils. Groups are responsible for washing all dishes made during their meal-this includes all items used in cooking, serving, and the items used by clients in the dining hall (trays/plates, cups, and utensils). Groups can bring disposable items to decrease number of dishes if they choose.
