Our tournament is dedicated to the memory of Chuck Norwood, the consummate servant leader.

From the mid-1980s until his death, Chuck served the Union County Community Shelter in many roles, including chairman of the board of directors. But he was very much a hands-on volunteer, working as an overnight supervisor and meal service volunteer. Chuck visited the shelter weekly, checking on unmet needs and talking with residents. He led us through extensive facility renovations and expansion of services for the homeless and hungry.

Chuck set the gold standard for volunteering, and we feel honored to have shared his friendship and passion for helping others.
