Pass The Plate 2021

Can you help our community neighbors in need?
For many years, our Pass The Plate breakfasts have raised funds to provide much-needed emergency services to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in Union County.
This year has been especially difficult for hundreds of residents who
- lost their jobs or experienced work reductions due to Covid-related business closures
- lost their ability to buy enough food for their family
- are scared about their future
Our community neighbors need our financial support more than ever. A tax-deductible donation through Pass The Plate allows the Community Shelter to use your funds to support the most-critical program areas. Last year, donations from individuals, churches, businesses and civic organizations provided 29 percent of our operating budget.
Three ways you can help your neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness
- Join us live for one of our two fundraising breakfasts. You’ll hear clients tell their stories – how they came to need Shelter services and, more importantly, how your support made the difference in their lives. Plus you’ll see how the Community Shelter changes lives of those experiencing hunger and homelessness in Union County. Registration is required for this “invitation only”event. Please email our executive director Melissa.McKeown@UnionShelter.org or call her at 704.261.3945.
